A huge well done to our camogie ladies who put in a strong performance on Saturday to book their place in the county final in two weeks time. And what a final that promises to be, a novel pairing with MLR having defeated Myshall in the other semi meaning this is the first time since 1977 (we believe) Myshall will not contest a senior county final. A phenomenal stat! 

Our girls got off to a bright start with a couple of quick fire points before St. Mullins responded. We battled hard for every ball and when delivered fast into the inside line, Kate Burke, Éibhe Lawler and Niamh Forde were doing damage picking off some lovely scores. A super team performance all round, some excellent defending as well as off the shoulder running with fine skill on show. The bench also making an impact with Jackie Prendergast and the returning Rachel Sawyer once again lighting up McGrath Park. That bit of extra experience was probably the difference against a tigerish, youthful St. Mullins side.

A massive two weeks now await this group. With circa 10 of the panel playing for Old Leighlin in next week's senior ladies county football final, one can't but admire and respect the sacrifices these dual players make to keep performing at this level in both codes. They are such a credit to themselves and their clubs and we wish them nothing but the best over this period.
