Our Intermediate hurlers kicked off their championship campaign with a convincing win against Naomh Moling in the Superbowl yesterday evening. Sporting their new One Club jerseys, the lads opted to play with the wind in the first half and stormed into a 5 point lead. Fiach O’Toole, brothers Tadhg & Ruarc O’Neill, Conor Carew and Aaron Amond all getting on the scoreboard early. The lads continued to dominate the first half playing the ball nicely through the lines racking up a 3-14 to 0-2 lead by half time. Playing against the breeze in the second half, the team met a more resilient opposition and had some wayward shooting in the tougher conditions. Creating lots of chances, we showed lots of endeavour, skill and work rate. A brilliant start with plenty more hurling to come!
