In a hot summers evening our U14 girls took to the field to play Carlow Town…and they surely did, they played and played, made every effort count, played out another very competitive game in the Super Bowl. If there is one thing that will make memories, is a good and honest win on a hot summers evening playing with friends. The girls played against a very tough and disciplined Carlow town who chased them right to the last puck of the game. The game was a cracker, the girls had to dig deep in the hot summers evening, two water breaks merely wet their lips and they had to go again. They fought, played and defended positions all over the pitch. They were rewarded with a win that was hard fought but worth it. Brilliant work rate girls, it’s worth the excitement and pride of parents and grandparents, the atmosphere of a score, the run, the block, the catch. All working towards dreams of the future and playing with and against friends for a lifetime. This can happen on a hot summer’s evening on the proud pitch of the SuperBowl! Bualadh bos 👏
