🎉  BREAKING NEWS:  We’re delighted to share some fantastic news for our community 🎉.

€500,000 in LEADER funding has officially been secured for the Superbowl Community Hub.

We are incredibly grateful for the support received from LEADER to help bring this ambitious project to life.  Ever since we embarked on our application over a year ago, the sense of what might be was palpable. 

Primary objective: Deliver a modern, accessible, and inclusive community facility to serve the residents of Leighlin parish and beyond. This grant along with the mammoth Superbowl Goes To Hollywood fundraising efforts will enable us to do just that. 

There are so many people to thank. A project and application of this scale does not happen without an incredible, hard-working & diligent committee behind the scenes. You all know who you are. Never a cross word, all working together to advance a greater cause. The power of the community.

The TDs, councillors, local politicians, KCLR and all of our local clubs who supported us throughout.  Thank You. To everyone who contributed to our big fundraiser including our very generous business sponsors. Thank You. To Erica Kelly, LEADER Development Co-ordinator, for your guidance and support throughout the process. Thank You.

But most importantly YOU - the local community - who got behind this vision from the beginning, coming out in your droves last weekend to support our big movie night. As the saying goes, it takes a village (in our case 3).  We couldn't be more thankful and more proud ❤️. 

We hope now that this project will serve as a model of shared rural infrastructure and community collaboration for decades to come. We can't wait to get started and deliver a project that will be transformative for the parish and wider community.
